Parent Teacher Conferences are just a few days away and this serves as a reminder to place the event on your calendar. The spring Parent Teacher Conference will take place on Thursday Feb 10th from 3:35-9:00pm.
For grades 7-12 we are going to try something different this year…Student Led Conferences. All students in grades 7-12 have been busy preparing a slide show to present to you as parents/guardians. The presentation will include strengths and weaknesses of each subject your child is enrolled and a plan to overcome the weakness. In grades 9-12, there will also be a slide that will include Choice Ready data, scholarship and graduation progress. You should have received a letter indicating the location of the Student Led Conference. Teachers will have a schedule that will indicate times they are free if you wish to visit with them personally but please honor the schedule as everyone has a designated time slot.
For families with younger children, please take advantage of the free baby-sitting/day-care option to allow parents to visit teachers with minimal distraction. Baby-sitting/day-care will be in the FACS classroom (Miss Carlson’s Room).
This is just one way we as the school and parents can aid in the success of our students academics. Parent Teacher Conferences provides for communication and team building to discuss your child/ren’s academic progress and concerns that both the parent and teacher may have. We sincerely hope to see everyone at this important event in your child’s education.
