We are celebrating reading the month of March with lots of different activities and dress up days! We kicked off today, March 1, with a Dr. Seuss book - "Fox in Socks"! Remember to wear crazy socks tomorrow for Dr. Suess' birthday!
Tuesday March 1st Announcements:
1. Good luck to our boys basketball team as they host Midway-Minto tonight in the region play-in game held in Northwood with the game starting at 7pm. Players will be leaving at 4:35 and should be in Northwood at 5pm for shoot around.
2. Track practice is split today.
3. Juniors and Seniors please sign up for the Prom Banquet if you plan to attend. The sign up sheet is across from Mr. Soine's Office.
4. Congratulations to Derek Carpenter for being selected FBLA Member of the Month for January for Region 1!

6. Today is the first day for our 1st Annual March Music Madness! There will be 2 matches every day for the first round. Today's matches are between "From the Inside" by Linkin Park vs "Runway Train" by Soul Asylum and "Broken Halos" by Chris Stapleton vs "Humble and Kind" by Tim McGraw. You can submit your vote on the board in front of the music room by 3pm each day. The winners will be announced tomorrow.

Wednesday February 23rd Announcements:
1. HS BBB practice will be in Hatton after school and there is no JH practice.
1. Girls that are attending the regional game today will leave at noon with Mr. Beaudoin.
2. Students that are participating in the Spelling Bee at Central Valley will be leaving at 12:15 from the main door.

The Hatton High Math Department competed against other Class A and Class B schools at the UND Math Track Meet yesterday. Congratulations to Beau Enger for taking 2nd Place overall in grade 11, Cooper Handly for taking 1st place in grade 8, and Rylan Wamstad for taking 2nd place in grade 8. Individual Honorable Mentions went to Brody Johnson for grade 9 and Derek Carpenter for grade 10. The 11th/12th grade team consisting of Paige Handly, Levi Jorgensen, Beau Enger, and Ryan Verke placed 3rd (the first Hatton team to do so since 2002). The 7th/8th grade team made up of Cooper Handly, Rylan Wamstad, Drew Iverson, and Aiden Johnson placed third as well. Congratulations to all 23 students that took part in this fun and challenging day!
We will be hosting a family movie night on Monday, February 28th. All K-12 families are invited. We will be showing the movie "Encanto" starting at 6:30pm. Concessions will be available for purchase (water, soda, popcorn and candy). The movie will be shown in the new gym. Feel free to bring a blanket.
