Mrs. Strand is working on a project for a class called the Teacher Empowerment Incubator that involves increasing sensory and fine motor opportunities for preschool and early elementary aged students. A sensory table has been added in the Hatton Eielson Kindergarten classroom, and matching sensory bins are going into different businesses in Hatton. Due North Bakery is the first business to have a sensory bin, and it includes gluten free pasta with some cooking utensils and a sheet for how to use the kit. Kids are able to use this kit when families go to shop at Due North. Thank you to Kristi Hovland for being willing to pilot the first sensory bin!
